Marratons - Large holiday home near Bude sleeping 10 guests

Self-catering property close to the coast and the borders between North Cornwall and Devon, perfect for family gatherings and making memories on the beach

An 18 month refurbishment now painstakingly completed, we think you’ll enjoy the cosy but sleek interiors which make Marratons so comfortable in all seasons, whatever the weather. Sleeping 10 in 5 bedrooms, all with their own bathroom and beautifully decorated throughout. Set in 4 acres of sheep-dotted paddocks and lovingly-maintained mature gardens, tucked away at the end of its own drive through private woodland. Whether you are aged 8 months or 80 you will love the space and tranquility that Marratons has to offer. Dogs are also very welcome.

Just a mile from the rolling surf of the stunningly deserted Stanbury Mouth, 3 miles from the more accessible and picturesque Duckpool and 4.5/5 miles from lifeguarded Sandymouth, Summerleaze and Crooklet's, there’s a beach for everyone. Or simply gaze out across the Atlantic from the dramatic sea cliffs along the South West Coast Path. This breath-taking and dramatic stretch of coastline has some seriously arduous climbs and descents, but the rewards are worth the effort. Dogs are welcome on all our local beaches at all times of the year.

Morwenstow sits on the South West Coast path and this AONB has outstanding coastal scenery, heathland and very high granite cliffs. While it is wonderfully remote it is blessed with an excellent pub, tea room and shop, all within 1.5 miles of Marratons. Otherwise head to pretty Bude (8 miles) for it's wide range of restaurants & shops, golf course, surf schools and outdoor sea pool. Head further south to, Tintagel Castle (25 miles), Port Isaac (32 miles), Rock (37 miles) or Bodmin (37 miles) or north to Hartland (10 miles) or Clovelly (12 miles).

We're delighted to share that Marratons has been featured in The English Home magazine, and made the front cover!
